ONE of the most inventive folk groups in Wales play Newport Memorial Hall on Thursday, April 17 at , as part of Music Without Frontiers Festival.
Fernhill make new, beautifully lyrical folk music which they have played to audiences all over the world.
At their core is the creative partnership of singer Julie Murphy and her husband, guitar player and award-winning producer Ceri Rhys Matthews.
Their sound is completed by the lovely fiddle of Christine Cooper and the sensitive trumpet of Tomos Williams.
The group has just recorded its sixth studion album called Amser (time), which is due for release this summer. It will be the follow up to the critically acclaimed 'Canu Rhydd' (free poetry ) album.
Doors at 7.30pm with an 8pm start
