Take strides for women campaign

I AM marking International Women’s Day (March 8th) by joining CARE International’s ‘Walk in Her Shoes’ campaign.

In Africa and Asia, millions of women and girls walk an average of four miles every day carrying backbreaking loads.

I will be walking 10,000 steps a day for a week in March, in solidarity with women and girls in the developing world. By raising £100, I can help build a water pump close to a poor community, saving them their gruelling daily walk and giving them a fighting chance to fulfil their potential.

I would like to encourage readers of Western Telegraph to help too. Please visit www.careinternational.org.
