On the 18th July 2015 I was urgently admitted to Withybush General Hospital suffering and in great pain (later diagnosed as Gall stones and infected Pancreas with complications).
I wish to thank all the Staff for the way and manner in which they looked after me during my three week stay in hospital.
Mr Selvam, the Consultant General Surgeon for Withybush General Hospital, the team in Ward 3 and all other associate teams and staff, cannot be praised high enough for their care, compassion and their very high standard of professionalism.
They are a truly a team of dedicated, understanding and competent people and a fine example of the very best of the NHS (especially when you appreciate the immense pressure they work under with the restricted staffing and other matters).
It would be a severe loss to our community if any intended plans to down size Withybush were to go ahead.
I genuinely ask the “Hywell Dda University Health Board” (and the Government) to seriously think again, leave Withybush alone, we need them, we want them, to stay as our “Local” General Hospital to enable them to continue with the service that they are highly capable of providing.
