May I add my views in response to the various letters of protest about new Council domestic rubbish collection plans.
We are all very sympathetic to the unfortunate people who have large amounts of clinical waste accumulating. And of course ladies, some men and young children who create considerable amounts of hygenic waste.
The Council seem to be unwilling to see the obvious problem they are creating.
All waste in black bags including the above can be soiled and begin to rot within a week.
And we have seen the stinking maggot ridden consequences even within the current two week period, let alone the proposed 3 week interval.
But our orange bags contain dry waste, paper, cardboard. plastics and tins which do not create a rot problem.
So surely it is the black bags (and of course the green food bins) which should be collected weekly whilst there is no urgency whatsoever on the orange ones.
