Yet another young child died the other day, as a result of being mauled by an illegal dog, which has since been identified as a pit bull terrier.
I understand the police have arrested the lad's 21 year old uncle for suspected manslaughter.
Its ironic that the uncle was away on army training and yet the Police had ignored a reporting made to them by a Council housing officer that illegal dog breeds were being bred at the property.
Had the Police acted as they should have done at the time, I would presume that its most likely that the dogs would have been taken away, which implies the 4 year old boy would be alive today.
Was it therefore manslaughter by the uncle or dereliction of duty by the Police?
