After attending a meeting in county hall for a discussion about the demise of the honey bee. I went with the intention, of finding information on having my own Bee hive and to listen to others about their experience on rearing Bees. Because of the cost of buying a hive and then buy a swarm of bees, I decided against it and instead planted a load of different seeds from semi wild flowers, loved by the Bees. They looked liked carrot plants as they emerged from the soil. They grew an grew and grew. I had massive stalks with tiny buds on the ends. What a disappointment. A week or so later the tiny buds grew and grew and grew. The gangly green stems just burst with masses of multi headed lovely blue flowers. followed by various other multi coloured plants. I even had a borage plant amongst them. I kept seeing the odd Bee before the appearance of the flowers. Today I had bees buzzing all over the flowers. I will take a picture of the flowers tomorrow and see if I can include some Bees in the picture. Sadly their were no honey Bees. I have know idea what the blue flowers are, I will have to look on the internet and see if I can recognise them.
