I walk around Milford marina quite often. I have never seen more than a handful of people there at anyone time. The shops that have not closed down, look like they are dying on their feet. I feel for these businesses. If this £5 million upgrade goes ahead I hope all these businesses will gain from it. It will produce construction jobs in the short term, but will local labour be involved. I notice the painting contract for all the handrails, last summer, was given to a Cardiff based company. Which did not make sense, when so many local people could have done this work. Any investment that brings local jobs should be encouraged, and I hope that the predictions forcasted, do indeed become fruitful for Milford Haven and Pembrokeshire. Time will tell!
