Who is responsible for this turmoil?

The world is alarmingly turning into a much more dangerous place, with Arab countries like Egypt, Libya etc, falling, as its people take to the streets, protesting for political reform. I just find it suspicious, that these Mediterranean countries all started to rebel against their rulers, in such a short space of time. It seems too contrived, for it to be a case of monkey see monkey do. I suspect these countries have been infiltrated by agents and mercenaries working on behalf of foreign powers, who are deliberately destabilising the region, to help the mad western pursuit and greed for cheap Oil. All the leaders that are in the process of being deposed have at some point of time, been pro western and filling their own bank accounts at the expense of their people. I can understand how the people would eventually turn on these despots, once they realised what was going on. What I cannot get my head around is why has it taken so long? Is it because the west have no further use for these leaders and are changing them for far more compliant rulers, that will allow them, even more access to the black gold. Whatever the outcome of this terrible series of conflicts, the world will have moved a lot closer into the hands of the” New World Order”.
