A visual arts project showcasing the work of young artists will soon be ‘popping up’ in two empty shops in Haverfordwest over the next three months, starting tomorrow (Saturday).
The first two installations showcase the work of Arthur Brooker and Steffi Campbell, who are both currently studying on the part-time BA (Hons) Sculpture Course at Trinity College Carmarthen.
Individuals and groups of young people, aged 16 to 25, are working with six local artists as their mentors, to create art installations for the displays at the Riverside Shopping Centre and Riverside Arcade.
During their project, Arthur and Steffi have been working with the support of Toby Downing, a kinetic artist based in St Dogmaels.
The second exhibition, celebrating the great outdoors, is created by Pembrokeshire Young Carers, who spent a day at Druidstone Haven in early January with National Park ranger Hayley Barrett and Guy Norman, from spacetocreate community arts.
