It has been confirmed today (Wednesday) that a Pembroke Dock window manufacturer is to close with the loss of 120 jobs.
The Cambrian Windows factory at Isaac Way, Pembroke Dock had been under a 90 day consultation but today bosses at the UK Window Group confirmed that the closure would proceed.
The factory will close at the end of next month.
Ray McGrady, Group Marketing Director, said: βIt is with regret that we announce the closure of the Cambrian Windows facility in Pembroke Dock. The management team have taken all steps possible to explore all viable alternatives to avoid this situation.β
Speaking when the closure consultation was first announced in February, local MP Simon Hart said: "This could be extremely bad news for Pembroke Dock.
"If the factory does have to close then every effort must be made to ensure the 120 staff are able to find work in the area, possibly with the help of retraining."
