The funeral took place on Thursday, November 16th, of Kathleen Ramsbottom, aged 82, of 1 Vivian Drive, Hakin, Milford Haven, who died at Withybush Hospital.

Born and brought up in Dale, Kathleen spent most of her married life living in Milford Haven and Hakin, but returned to Dale for a period of some twenty years to look after her parents.

Her husband Jim died in 1993.

Kathleen's main interests were her garden, family and St Mary's Church, Hakin.

She is survived by her brother Edwin, who lives in Scotland, her son Jim and daughter-in-law Iris, of Aberporth, her grandsons Ian and Gary and her five grandchildren; Daniel, Jack, Tom, Sam and Isobel.

The funeral was held at St Mary's Church, Hakin, led by Rev Alan Chadwick, followed by cremation at Parc Gwyn. The bearers were Anthony Ramsey, Kenny Phillips and Colin Llewelyn.

The principal mourners were Mr and Mrs Jim Ramsbottom (son and daughter-in-law); Ian and Gayle Ramsbottom (grandson and wife); Gary Ramsbottom (grandson); Carol and Alan Llewellyn, Joy Griffiths, Mona Llewellyn, Brian and Jean Thomas, Robert Thomas, Kenny Phillips, Nicola and Wayne, Jason and Sam, Jane and Carl, Anthony and Jennifer, Colin and Gillian and Anne (nephews and nieces); Glanmor Warlow (cousin); with many friends from Dale, Milford, Aberporth and Chester.

There were family flowers only and donations were received for St Mary's Church, Hakin. Tom Newing and Sons handled the funeral arrangements.
