PUBLIC consultation sessions are set to take place on the future of education in St Davids and secondary education in Haverfordwest.

The preliminary consultations, which will look at multiple options, are part of the county council’s review of education in the St Davids area and review of secondary dducation in the Haverfordwest area.

The consultation sessions on education at St Davids will take place at Fishguard Town Hall on Tuesday, March 4, from 6.30pm to 8pm, and at St Davids City Hall on Wednesday, March 5, from 6.30pm to 8pm.

The consultation sessions regarding Haverfordwest will take place at The Pembrokeshire Archive, Prendergast, Haverfordwest, on Tuesday, March 11, from 6.30pm to 8pm, and at the same venue on Thursday, March 13, from 6.30 to 8pm.

The final date for responses is Monday, March 31, 2014.

This is the first phase of a three-part consultation on education provision in the St Davids area and secondary education in the Haverfordwest area.

The process (subject to cabinet approval at each stage) consists of: preliminary consultation on multiple options, statutory consultation on the preferred option/s; and finally the publication of a statutory notice which outlines the council’s decision.
