In some respects you are right...any consultation is when they ask us what we want and then TELL us what they are going to do. No one I have spoken to knew this was going to happen...I didnt see any notices around so hwere were they? it should have been "in your face". Sadly Fishguard in particular is on its knees. The locals have kept the supermarkets out of the old school which would in my opinion and experience bring people into the town and from there other shops would open because there would be people there to sell to. As it is at the moment Fishguard closes half day on a Saturday even in the middle of the summer when the tourists are around. Last Saturday it was empty, people were moaning. Well I am sorry but news gets about...no point in going to Fishguard unless u want antique shops now 3, because thats all thats there...oh and a quick plug for Peppers gallery and bistro...sad..
