IF you want to explore world-class walking opportunities on your doorstep but don’t have the experience, sign up to one of the National Park Authority’s free events.

Walkability Project Coordinator Paul Casson will be leading introductory walking courses to help people learn the basics about walking on the coast path and inland routes.

Paul said: “If you need a bit of encouragement and advice to help you take advantage of the National Park’s wonderful walking opportunities, join us for an afternoon to try out a local walk and learn how you can access other routes and start to plan your own trips out."

The three free introductory courses will run from 1.30pm-4pm and start at the National Park Centres at: Oriel y Parc Gallery and Visitor Centre, St Davids on Tuesday April 21; Tenby National Park Centre on Wednesday, April 22; Newport National Park Visitor Centre on Friday, April 24.

To book a place contact the National Park Centres: Oriel y Parc 01437 720392, Tenby 01834 845040 or Newport 01239 820912. All the relevant maps and information will be provided but you will need appropriate clothing.
