A 41-year-old man charged with sexual assault in Haverfordwest’s multi storey car park is to argue that the act was consensual, a judge at Swansea crown court has been told.
Andrew John Phillips, of Coxhill, Narberth, made a preliminary hearing before Judge Paul Thomas on Friday.
He was not asked to enter a plea but prosecuting barrister Ian Wright said he understood a plea of not guilty had been indicated.
Phillips' barrister, Huw Rees, said that was correct and Phillips would say that whatever happened had been with the consent of the woman concerned.
A further hearing will take place on October 2 and a two day trial has been listed to begin on November 23.
Phillips was further remanded into custody at Parc Prison, near Bridgend, meanwhile.
