Three Pembrokeshire men and a fourth man from Manchester were arrested for alleged drug supply and conspiracy offences, on Friday in a swoop by Dyfed-Powys Police.

Detectives investigating drug trafficking in Pembrokeshire said cocaine, cannabis and ecstasy tablets with a street value of £18,000 and more than £4,000 in cash were seized.

On Monday, magistrates at Haverfordwest remanded the four men into custody.

Rugby player Lewis Iain Wood, aged 24, of Hawthorn Lodge, Ashdale Lane, Llangwm, 21-year-old Philip James White, of Flat 5, 25 Hill Street, Haverfordwest and Neil Thomas Walters, aged 35, of Flat 4, Old Taskers Building, Tower Hill, Haverfordwest, were remanded to Swansea Crown Court on May 1st.

Martin Peter Flynn, aged 36, of 21, School Lane, Irlam, Manchester, was remanded into police custody until tomorrow (Thursday).

Rachel Hale, prosecuting, said Wood, White and Walters face charges of conspiracy to supply controlled drugs between September 2005 and April 20th 2007.

Flynn is accused of supplying controlled drugs to White, in Clwyd on April 20th.

Police also made a successful application to the court to retain £5,780 pending further investigations.

Strenuous applications for conditional bail were made by Mark Layton for Wood, Mike Reed for White and Louise Irvine for Walters.

Wood was said to be a professional rugby player and a law graduate working as a LNG labourer, while White is a £300-a-week LNG labourer and Walters a kitchen fitter and trainee diving instructor.

Peter Jones, defending Flynn, did not oppose a three-day remand.
