THE renewable energy firm hoping to transform Milford Haven's former RNAD site will be hosting a second public meeting this Thursday (February 18).

Egnedol Ltd is hosting a public consultation event in the Murray Suite at Milford Haven Town Hall tomorrow from 10.30am – 8pm.

The event will give local residents another opportunity to view the plans for a proposed centre of renewable energy excellence in Milford Haven, speak with members of the Egnedol team and give their feedback.

Phil Johns of Egnedol said: “Following our first public consultation event last month, we wanted to present more detailed plans and gather further feedback ahead of submitting our planning application.

“By hosting the event throughout the day and into the evening, we hope to attract as many residents as possible to learn more about our exciting plans, answer their questions and capture their opinions as we continue to shape our proposal.”

Last month, Egnedol told local councillors that the first phase of development – a biomass facility creating up to 49MW of energy – would bring 450 jobs, with power potentially being produced from early in 2017.

The site would also produce algae, prawns, fish and cheese, as well as offering research and development opportunities.

Around 200 people attended a previous public event in Hazelbeach.
