THE family of a "vivacious" and "inspirational" 25-year-old woman have urged police to look again at the circumstances surrounding her death.
Michaela Haines, from Pembroke, was found dead at a property in Tenby in the early hours of December 23.
Desperate to understand what happened, Michaela's mother - Christine Williams - posted a heartfelt appeal online, asking anyone who had seen her daughter in the hours and days before her death to get in touch.
At a pre-inquest hearing on Thursday (March 30), Michaela's family were told police are now re-examining the case.
Coroner Mark Layton said he was aware of their concerns that Michaela's death "wasn't as clear-cut" as they had been told.
As a result, he had contacted the police, and the matter was now to be re-investigated.
Michaela's aunt, Carla Reily, said a number of questions remained over Michaela's "sudden and unnatural death", which she said had "left a void in our lives that cannot be filled".
The inquest has been adjourned until April 30, but the family was told this may be postponed again if the investigation continues.
A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys police confirmed the incident was now being reviewed.
