LOCAL coastguards, the coastguard rescue helicopter and RNLI teams worked together to rescue a woman who had fallen around 30ft onto rocks yesterday (Thursday).
At 1.30pm St Davids RNLI inshore lifeboat launched to Carred Y Barcud near to Caerfai beach.
At 1.35pm the all-weather lifeboat launched to the same incident.
The inshore lifeboat was soon on scene, and put crew members ashore to treat the casualty.
UK coastguard teams from St Davids and Broad Haven together with a coastguard rescue helicopter R187 attended the scene.
The helicopter lowered their paramedic to assess the woman and it was decided to winch the casualty aboard and fly to Morrison Hospital in Swansea.
Both lifeboats stood off while the winching operation was taking place.
Once this was completed, both lifeboats were released from the incident to return to station arriving back at 4.00pm.
The extent of the woman's injuries is not currently known.
