IT was a festive look behind the scenes for Preseli Pembrokeshire MP Stephen Crabb as he visited the Royal Mail Haverfordwest Delivery Office on Friday (December 15).

He had a to see first-hand the impressive operation of delivering Christmas post and to pass on seasons greetings to hardworking staff.

Mr Crabb was shown around Haverfordwest office and was introduced to the postmen and women, who are pulling out all the stops to sort and deliver mail in the Pembrokeshire area in time for Christmas.

The local MP carried out his annual free raffle with one lucky postie winning a House of Commons bottle of whiskey.

The festive season is Royal Mail’s busiest period as millions of people shop online for gifts and send Christmas cards and parcels.

Mr Crabb said: “It was great to see the busy Royal Mail operation in full Christmas flow, and with many of the posties in their Christmas jumpers supporting Save the Children the delivery office was feeling festive.

“We have a fabulous team of postmen and women in Pembrokeshire, who make sure the post gets delivered in all-weather to even our most remote villages, and I thank them for the fantastic job they do.”
