TENBY railway station is to have police community support officers as part of a Welsh Government-funded pilot scheme which aims to cut crime on the rail network.
Following an agreement with Arriva Trains Wales and the British Transport Police, the £1.2m investment will also see PSCOs at Machynlleth and a uniformed sergeant at Rhyl.
Economy secretary Ken Skates said: "Our railways are vital in keeping the country moving, whether it is to carry us to work, to socialise, or in our efforts to reduce the number of cars in our towns and cities.
"It is important to all rail users that they feel safe, and the British Transport Police play a huge part in this."
Tenby station also had a police presence last summer as part of Operation Lion, where Dyfed-Powys Police and Arriva Trains Wales partnered to keep a watch out for potential troublemakers with too much drink on board who were arriving in the resort by rail.
