There was fun, friendship and farming aplenty at the 161st Fishguard Show on Friday.
Despite a drizzly start to the day local families and visitors turned up a multitude of attractions at Cefn y Dre Fields, making the show the largest one-day traditional agricultural show in Pembrokeshire.
There were fantastic livestock exhibitions in cattle, pigs, sheep and horses, while the craft tent highlighted the skill of local people in numerous categories, from flower arranging to needlework.
Special Attractions for 2018 included a vintace threshing demonstration, a display of machinery through the ages, Pembrokeshire Fox Hounds, horse shoeing and sheep shearing and milking demonstrations.
There was also woodcarving and crafts, a history display and cookery demonstrations as well as an impressive open horticultural section, a food and craft marquee and a dog show.
The 30 acre site also boasted fairground rides, food and trade stalls and a licensed bar.
It was a really good show,” said show chairman, Janet Williams.
“We had an excellent number of livestock entries all of a very high quality and there seemed to be a a lot of people there. The show ground was full of trade stands and there was something to suit everyone.
“Grateful thanks to all the committee members who worked so hard to make the show such a success.”
