Dear Editor — Regarding the comment on presumed consent for organ donation (Western Telegraph, September 24th).

Little thought has gone into its conception and even less into its implementation.

I agree that as a solution it is unsatisfactory, because it asks people to make a decision now, that may not be implemented for many years, when their feelings may have changed.

Also, it does not address the issue of the large percentage of people who cannot opt out.
