Burnett’s Hill There is a busy month in prospect at Burnett’s Hill Chapel, Martletwy.
On Tuesday, April 7th, the recently restored chapel will play host to an evening of music and storytelling featuring Eliot Baron and friends.
Percussionist Eliot- who built the musical play area at Manorbier School – will be demonstrating a whole range of unusual instruments, especially gongs and tubular bells, and the evening begins at 7.30pm.
On Monday April 20th, also at 7.30pm, there will be a talk in the chapel given by Dr Rob Davies on the history of the Cleddau river.
Tom Bailey, an American singer and multi-instrumentalist, will be performing old-time songs from the Appalchian mountains on Thursday April 23rd.
On Tuesday May 5th will see the return to Burnett’s Hill of the Dan Cassidy Swing Quartet following last year’s sell-out performance by the outstanding American jazz violinist.
