After graduating from Cardiff University in Summer of last year I decided to listen to the emotional part of my brain and go home to live in Newport, Pembrokeshire, where I moved 11 years ago. I'm now living with my mother and stepfather again, enjoying the idyll of Pembrokeshire life.

I love music, particularly live, of various and varied genres. I am not particularly knowledgeable, but I am very open to most types of music and have, over almost ten years of festival going, seen many live bands, experiences which I plan to share on this blog, to give my boyfriend a relief from my constant reminiscing!

I am also an avid reader (as one would hope since I have a degree in English Literature) with favourite authors such as Toni Morrison and DH Lawrence. My current reading aspirations include Joyce's Ulysses and Eliot's Middlemarch. I anticipate that these will, however, take a long time to get around to, but I'll keep you updated.

Occasionally, and not as often as I'd like, I venture out of Newport and go to see live comedy, a passion of mine – although I find it hard to comprehend how anyone could fail to have at least a small amount of passion for comedy. I recently saw my favourite, and highly recommended, comedian, Russell Kane. I have an inordinate amount of hope that he will become very famous at some point, because he is painfully funny, and if he does not, my faith in the world may be tarnished.

So, for now, that's me; I hope that my ramblings were at least vaguely interesting to someone! And I hope that you'll come back to visit my blog again. Recommendations for music/films/books/comedians very gratefully received.
