A trio of special concerts is set to dazzle and delight audiences of all ages, showcasing 70 years of singing, dancing, laughter and drama.

As part of its 70th anniversary celebrations, Pembrokeshire federation of Young Farmers Clubs is staging three concerts packed full of the best and most memorable performances produced by young farmers from across the county throughout the last 70 years.

As well as reviving fondly remembered sketches and dances from years gone by, today’s members will also perform songs and acts that have featured in recent talent shows, pantomimes and rally competitions, with many of the items having gone on to win at Wales and national levels.

The concerts will give former young farmers the chance to recall their glory days on the stage while at the same time providing people who do not know much about the movement an insight into the varied activities and wonderful talent in YFC.

Pembrokeshire YFC county organiser Dill Williams, said: “We wanted to do something special to celebrate the talented members that Pembrokeshire YFC has produced for 70 years. The concerts promise to be a celebration of song, dance and comedy, all with the unique YFC twist.

“We welcome all past and present members, and especially people who do not know what YFC is about to come along to reminisce and be entertained by the array of talent on show.

“The concerts will definitely prove that YFC is certainly not just about farming.”

Having been a launch pad for the careers of stars such as Connie Fisher, the array of talent that has passed through the YFC movement promises to be brought spectacularly to life in the concerts which take place at Sir Thomas Picton School, Haverfordwest on Thursday, November 12th; Greenhill School, Tenby, on Friday, November 13th; and Ysgol Bro Gwaun, Fishguard, on Saturday, November 14th.
