The drivers of five out of 17 heavy goods vehicles stopped by Pembrokeshire Roads Policing Unit last weekend were found to be committing offences.
The heavy goods vehicle check was carried out by police on the A477 at Sageston. They targeted foreign goods vehicles heading for Pembroke Dock Port.
Three drivers were reported for tachograph offences and issued with fines totalling £1,100.
Two drivers were in vehicles so dangerous that they were immediately banned from driving them.
Dyfed-Powys police said the checks were part of continuing with targeted operations aimed at keeping Pembrokeshire's roads safe.
