The woman who fell overboard the Rosslare to Fishguard Stena Europe ferry on Monday night has been named as 47- year-old Shiela Cooney from Mayfield in Cork.
She was reported overboard at 9.44pm when the ferry was about three miles off Tuskar Rock on the Wexford Coast.
An extensive search was instigated involving Rosslare lifeboat, Kilmore Quay lifeboat, the Stena Europe and the Isle of Innismore ferries and the Waterford coastguard helicopter.
Ms Cooney body was found at 12.30 yesterday (Tuesday) morning about seven miles from where she fell overboard.
It's understood that she travelled to Wexford on Monday and got the night sailing to Fishguard.
