Dear Editor

Recently on Radio Wales, I heard someone being interviewed regarding the report on more possible powers for the Welsh Assembly. They stated that the Welsh Assembly should be abolished, as it was waste of scarce resources.

Later on TV the farce of the opening of the Westminster parliament with all the gold coaches, soldiers on horses and all dressed up in fancy gowns.

Now that is a real waste of scarce resources. It’s time spent and money wasted on a theatrical drama for the feeble minded.

Let’s get real. This is the 21st century, not the middle ages. Let’s cut this waste and bring power nearer the real people not the wasteful politicians and royalty in London.
