AN explosion occurred on Monday during the shutdown at Total refinery in Milford Haven.
No one was seriously injured during the incident, which happened within a waste water storage tank just after 4pm.
Several people were given first aid treatment at the medical centre, but later released.
Milford Haven Refinery said internal emergency services responded immediately to the situation and it was quickly brought under control.
No external assistance was needed.
A full investigation has now been launched into the incident, which comes less than two weeks after Texaco Refinery was struck by lightning.
