The introduction of horse racing at Haverfordwest's Racecourse, round-town tram or land train service, and better use of the river are just three of 20 projects put forward by local councillors.

They had been asked to come up with ideas to improve Haverfordwest and these will be discussed at a special town council meeting on March 8th.

Some interesting proposals emerged and although some can be taken on board by the town council, others would have to be developed by, or in conjunction with, the county council, other agencies or private organisations.

Although the county council is already planning a leisure centre, the inclusion of a bowling alley and ice rink, as well as a swimming pool and multi-gym, has been suggested.

It would be interesting to get readers' views on the proposals or maybe you have some of your own.
