Dear Editor, - Inaccuracies in the Get On Our Bike article in your Summertime supplement (July 16th) need to be rectified.

The most important correction is to say that the route of the National Cycle Network does not link Haverfordwest with Milford Haven, but takes the cyclist to the Brunel Quay at Neyland.

In contrast to the route your reporter Patrick Alexander took with 'roads all the way' and 'steep hills to tackle', this route takes you off the road shortly after the railway bridge and is a bridleway through Bolton Hill Woods to Johnston.

After a couple of hundred yards of road from the railway station to the back of the school, the route is again motor traffic-free and flat as it follows the disused railway path down to the wildlife ark and out to the Brunel Quay.

The road section described as 'particularly hairy' is a temporary section until Pembrokeshire County Council can finalise a traffic free alternative.

With a little care and consideration we can all safely enjoy both the roads and cyclepaths of Pembrokeshire, regardless of whether we chose to walk, cycle, ride a horse or drive a car.
