A talented young cheesemaker has scooped another top prize.

Carwyn Adams, son of Gwynfor and Thelma Adams, of Caws Cenarth, is believed to be Wales' youngest farmhouse cheesemaker.

He has continued with his winning streak last week by scooping the first prize in the blue veined class at the Royal Welsh Show with his Perl Las cheese.

In October, Carwyn was declared joint winner of the cheese classes at the prestigious Soil Association /Mail on Sunday Food Awards, beating over 90 other cheeses, including Inter-national entries, to take the title.

But mum and dad also had a good day at the show, winning first prize in the export class with their miniature Caerffili cheese.

They have now won this class a record number of times.
