Roy Noble is celebrating Pembrokeshire this week with numerous live daily broadcasts from the area until Saturday.

Billed as Unplugged, Unshaven, Unmissable, Roy will be out and about, talking to people around the county as a special feature of BBC Radio Waless summer adventure on the road.

Roy is especially looking forward to meeting some of his Royzoners face to face, according to Julie Barton, editor of Radio Wales.

Roy loves to go out and meet his listeners, she said. On the programme, we have a regular slot called the Royzone, where listeners tell Roy about the local news and gossip from their own patches around Wales, so that our listeners get a flavour of those places. Roys road trip is really an extension of that because it gives people a chance to take part.

BBC Radio Wales on Tour began on Monday in Pembroke, moved yesterday (Tuesday) to Tenby. Tomorrow (Wednesday) it will be at Market Hall, Fishguard; tomorrow (Thursday) Queens Hall, Narberth, then on Friday Roy will be at the Riverside Quay, Haverfordwest.

Following Fridays programme, the Sarah Dickins Show will also be broadcast live from Haverfordwest, and Sarah will be getting to grips with any issues which local people want to put on the agenda.

On Saturday morning, Money For Nothing will round off Pembrokeshire Week with a morning of live entertainment and music from Tenby Harbour. Owen Money will be joined by fellow Radio Wales presenters Kevin Hughes, Frank Hennessy and Chris Needs.

As well as the tour, Radio Wales aired a Pembrokeshire All Things Considered programme on Sunday, August 12th, with special guest Terry Waite.

The daily Good Morning Wales programme will include special reports from Pembrokeshire reporter Anna Owen, and BBC Wales controller Menna Richards will host a VIP reception in Haverfordwest today (Wednesday).

The live broadcasts start daily at 9 am on Radio Wales. Full details of the tour are available on www.bbc.co.uk/wales/programmes/tickets/radiowalestour
