AN exciting new wildlife initiative, supported by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority, offers an evening of seawatching at Strumble Head.
From 7.30 pm until sunset on August 22nd, the area will provide the spectacular backdrop for a porpoise awareness evening hosted by the Pencaer Observation Recording Programme.
Cliff Benson, organiser of the event, said: Strumble Head is probably the best place in the UK to see porpoises. To find out why, come and join us on the 22nd.
National Park ranger, Ian Meopham, added: This is an event for all the family, and while we will be concentrating on the porpoises, it will be a great opportunity to spot and learn a little more about seals, gannets and shearwaters.
Information and explanations of the wildlife on view will be provided by local experts, who will also supply binoculars and telescopes. Those taking part are also welcome to use their own equipment if they wish.
The event is free of charge and those wishing to take part should meet at the Strumble Head seawatch shelter from 7 pm.
