ITV Wales is to show a controversial programme investigating the possibility of a serious accident involving the liquefied natural gas developments in Milford Haven tomorrow (Thursday).

It's an updated version which should have been transmitted on the evening of the London terrorist attacks.

The Wales This Week programme, which will be shown at 7.30pm, coincides with the day that two members of the Safe Haven pressure group go to the High Court in London to seek a judicial review of the consents given for the Pembrokeshire LNG developments.

Bruce Kennedy, head of factual programmes at ITV Wales, said: "The programme raises serious questions about what might happen in Milford Haven if there were an accident or in the event of a terrorist attack. It was felt it would be insensitive to broadcast the programme on the same day, and in the immediate aftermath, of the London bombings.

However the programme raises questions which do need to be aired and deals with them in a responsible manner. Also in view of the High Court proceedings that day it's now felt appropriate for the programme to be transmitted."
