DYFED Powys Police are keen to trace patients who may have been referred to a man, claiming to be a clinical psychologist.

The 51-year-old was allegedly working as a specialist, counselling in child drug reduction programmes, child disruptive behaviour, child and youth abuse victims, bullying at school and at the workplace and problematic adolescent behaviour.

It is claimed the man has no qualifications.

He was subsequently arrested by police and charged with deception offences.

Pembrokeshire Local Health Board, which is one of the statutory responsibility holders for issues relating to child protection, is also keen to trace any such referrals.

Chairman, Chris Martin, said: "The situation in regard to us is that there have been no direct referrals from the Local Health Board.

"Obviously it is in police hands and we look forward to the outcome of their investigation."

A man appeared before Llanelli Magistrates Court on July 17th and was remanded in custody.
