fWelsh Premier football Aberystwyth 1 Haverfordwest County 1

FOR the second successive time in a week, Haver-fordwest County fought out a score draw.

And once again it was Bluebirds' central defender Wyn Thomas, who continued his incredible rich vein of scoring, by finding the back of Aberystwyth's net around the ninth minute.

Left sided midfielder Lee Hudgell, who was in and out of the game all evening, did brilliantly to carve out the goal scoring opportunity for Thomas.

The in-form defender struck a left foot effort with aplomb from the edge of the 18 yard area, and perhaps manager Deryn Brace, will think strongly about playing him as a striker, now that he has impressively scored four times in three outings.

The visitors played a 3-5-2 formation, and this really suited new boy Chris O'Sullivan, who was easily the best player on the park, causing mayhem against his former team-mates down right wing.

The clash was played at a fast and furious pace, and was a highly entertaining affair for both sets of supporters, who watched intently a Friday evening clash, which swayed from end-to-end.

Nicky Palmer, Dean Rossiter and Colin Loss, worked tirelessly in midfield, but Chris Miller and Lee John, failed to make a any real impact up front for the visitors.

Ex-Swansea City striker Jonathan Coates, and his partner Stuart Roberts, a former Welsh international, constantly kept defenders Richard Hughes, Rob Jones, Wyn Thomas and 'keeper Lee Kendall, on their toes.

In the 64th minute the home side grabbed an equaliser thanks to Coates being in the right place at the right time.

Bluebirds' manager Brace, will no doubt feel bitterly disappointed with a point, because on the night, he may have felt that they had done enough to take all three points.

Haverfordwest County are next in Welsh Premier action when they entertain Newi Cefn Druids, at the Bridge Meadow, 2.30pm kick-off.
