Three men from Pembrokeshire are facing long prison sentences after a jury convicted them of shipping heroin and crack cocaine into the area.

Michael O'Donovan, Nicholas Causon and Gavin Marchant linked up with a West Indian man based in Bristol and transported class A drugs back to Pembrokeshire.

Unknown to them, said the prosecution, the police had Corey Blake under observation.

O'Donovan, aged 37, of Hawthorn Path, Mount Estate, Milford Haven, Causon, 45, of Merlin's Hill, Haverfordwest, and Marchant, 32, of Westfield Close, Westhill Estate, Milford Haven, denied possessing class A drugs with intent to supply.

But they were convicted at Swansea crown court. They will be sentenced along with three others -including Blake himself -later this month.

Mark Spackman, prosecuting, told a jury at Swansea crown court how Blake arrived in Bristol from Jamaica two years ago and established himself as a major dealer.

Mr Spackman said Blake was so central to the supply of drugs to west Wales that police officers from Pembrokeshire joined in the raid on his home.

They discovered cash, heroin and crack cocaine.

By then, said Mr Spackman, police had logged 'significant' traffic between Blake and the defendants.
