A 32-YEAR-OLD Neyland man has become the latest victim on Pembrokeshire's roads.

Wayne Vivian Lloyd died at Withybush Hospital following an accident on the A477 near the junction for Barnlake Point, Cleddau Bridge.

Wayne, of 4 Vale Road, suffered serious injuries when his dark green Vauxhall Vectra collided with an embankment at 5.30pm on Sunday. He was taken to Withybush Hospital but later died from his injuries.

Wayne leaves his partner of nine years, Melissa McPhee, two sisters and his parents Noel and Hazel. Noel Lloyd described his son as easy-going. "Most people he met liked him," he said.

The former pupil of Neyland CP School and Haverfordwest Secondary Modern worked with his father as a flat roofer.

His best friend Richard Webb was travelling in the front passenger seat. Richard, also of Neyland, broke his collarbone and damaged his hip and is in Withybush Hospital.

Mr Lloyd's family hope his funeral will be held on Friday, although this is yet to be confirmed by Glyn Thomas funeral directors, of Freystrop.

Any witnesses who may have seen the accident, or saw the vehicle as it travelled from Amroth, are asked to contact PC Justin Williams at Haverfordwest traffic department on 0845 330 2000.
