A Pembrokeshire hotel restored by a couple into an intimate hideaway was presented with a top industry award yesterday (Thursday).
The Grove, near Narberth, was bought by Neil Kedward and Zoe Agar in 2007 in a bid to escape the rat race in London.
They set about a major restoration of the property and its outbuildings, which has just been announced as the winner of the AA Guest Accommodation of the Year for Wales.
Neil and Zoe have created 12 individually-designed guest rooms in the property, with four traditional cottages in the grounds.
Award-winning chef Nigel Marriage has also joined the team at the hotel.
Said the AA's Giovanna Grossi: "This luxurious and charmingly-restored establishment is perfectly situation for a memorable stay in Pembrokeshire, and is fully deserving of its title."
The award was presented to Neil and Zoe at the AA Bed and Breakfast Awards held yesterday (Thursday).
"This is such a great way to recognise all the hard work we have put into The Grove," said Neil.
"Our guests enjoy a relaxed, home-from-home feel, with the added benefit of stunning views over the Preseli mountains."
