Cruising back to the 1930s tonight(Monday)with their summer show are Saundersfoot Footlights, who bring the toe-tapping tunes of Cole Porter to the stage with their production of Anything Goes.

Set aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London, there are plenty of antics as stowaway Billy Crocker (Will Oliver) makes a bid to win the affections of heriess Hope Harcourt (Andrea Thomas).

Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney (Sallie Griffiths), gangster Moonface Martin (Steve Butler) and his sidekick Bonnie (Allison Franklin)help Billy in his quest.

This upbeat show features some great comedy moments and memorable melodies - not least the title song, along with I Get a Kick Out of You and Friendship. And Footlights' hard-working and imaginative backstage team have created some ship-shape scenery and superb costumes which evoke the elegance of the era.

Anything Goes is directed by Helen Wright, with Kate Wright as musical director.

The show is on stage at the Regency Hall, Saundersfoot for six nights between Monday May 31st and Saturday June 5th. Curtain up is 7.30pm, with doors opening at 6.45pm.
