Little Haven lifeboat performed a rescue “sandwich” today (Thursday) when it received two emergency call outs in the space of three minutes.
The volunteer crew was first tasked to the aid of a sailing dinghy, spotted by lifeguards in trouble off Nolton Haven. The lifeboat recovered the vessel and towed it to the safety of Druidston Haven.
It was then called out to a Hobby Cat which had capsized between Little Haven and Broad Haven. The boat had righted itself but was still dangerously close to rocks.
The lifeboat towed the vessel to Broad Haven before returning to Druidston Haven to tow the first boat back to Nolton Haven, as the owner had no way of returning.
