Following last week’s ‘best ever sighting’ of the Pembrokeshire big cat people across the county have been keeping their eyes peeled for the prowling beast.
Two weeks ago public protection officer Michael Disney came face to face with a panther-like creature in broad daylight as he drove towards Treffgarne.
The former police officer was in no doubt that he had seen a big cat cross his path and that it was definitely not a dog or any other domestic animal.
The big cat was then spotted the next night by 20-year-old Chloe Morrisey from Camrose, near Haverfordwest aerodrome.
“I was driving towards the aerodrome on the Fishguard road at around 11.30pm on Thursday night.
“The car in front of me slowed right down so I slowed as well, and then I saw what I thought was a big dog running towards me.
“It then ran past my car and stopped on the grass by the entrance to the aerodrome. I stopped and watched it for a while and it was definitely a big cat.
“I’d say about the size of a large calf.”
Anyone with evidence of the presence of a big cat should inform Pembrokeshire County Council’s contact centre on 01437 764551.
