Long haired Leighton Davies is going for the chop today (Tuesday), for the first time in five years.

The 38-year- old dad from Begelly is losing his luscious locks to raise money for two charities close to his heart: the Bucketful of Hope appeal and the Special Care baby unit at Withybush Hospital.

“I’ve had long hair on and off since I was a teenager, but this time it’s grown half way down my back and I think I’m ready for a hair cut,” said Leighton.

“I’ve chosen to raise funds for the Bucketful of Hope appeal, as I used to work with Adam Evans-Thomas’s dad, and also the Special Care Baby Unit, as my 21-month son, Luca, was a patient there after he was born.”

Leighton is hoping to raise at least £2,500 for the two charities.

Leighton’s locks will then be donated to the Little Princesses charity which makes hairpieces and wigs for children who have lost their hair through cancer treatment or illness.

The super snip takes place tonight at 7pm the Coastal Gallery, High Street Narberth, a charity auction will also take place.
