Man bitten by adder near Whitesands beach

A 39-year old holidaymaker was taken to hospital on Saturday after being bitten by an adder.

The man, on holiday from Hereford encountered the adder on the coast path near Whitesands, St Davids. He proceeded to the beach where he alerted the RNLI lifeguards.

Lifeguards administered first aid until paramedics arrived on the scene, the man was then taken to Withybush Hospital.
