Council members were told last week that only 3,000 health consultation questionnaires had been sent back to Hywel Dda and with the deadline looming residents must send in their responses.

Cllr Wynne Evans, a member of the Community Health Council, said: “The uptake of the general public of the questionnaire is very poor indeed – encourage members of your wards to return the questionnaire.

“A lot of people are signing petitions but these petitions are not worth the paper they are written on, it’s the questionnaires the health board will be looking at.”

Pembrokeshire politicians Stephen Crabb MP, Simon Hart MP and Paul Davies AM, as well as the Health Board itself, are also reminding people to respond before the October 29th deadline.

The questionnaire is available at www.hywelddahb.wales.nhs.uk/consultation and paper copies are available from healthcare and community locations (such as main hospitals and GPs).

You can leave a request on the answerphone 01437 771232, write to HYWEL DDA HEALTH BOARD or email hyweldda.engagement@wales.nhs.uk.

All responses must be received by Monday, October 29th.
