MAKING a date for fundraising are the Rotary Club of Tenby which has just launched its new 2015 Tenby charity calendar.

The calendar, now on sale in local shops, has been produced by Tenby Rotary Club as both a charity fundraiser and to promote the local area, said newly elected club president, Rotarian Nigel Ayers.

At a recent reception, 12 local businesses that had supported the calendar by sponsoring a month each were presented with five complimentary copies by the Mayor of Tenby, Councillor Sue Lane, on behalf of the club.

The main charity supported by the calendar will be the HOPE Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre in Neyland, which is President Nigel Ayers’ charity of the year.

The A4 size, full colour calendar features twelve photos of Tenby and Caldey, and is available for just £4.99 each from a number of local shops including, Tenby Bookshop, Tenby Newsagents, T P Hughes, Aero Beach, The Caldey Shop, The Card Shop, Tesco Express, Tenby; The Welsh Gift Shop, Joy’s of Tenby, The Jazz, National Park Shop, Lollies Sweet Shop, Tenby Post Office, Cwm Deri Vineyard Shop, County Clothes, Trafalgar Stores and Charlton Cards. Out of town, the calendar can be purchased at Penally Newsagents, Five Ways Garage, Kiln Park Garage, Pentlepoir Garage, Instrand Cards & Gifts, Saundersfoot and the Four Seasons Farm Shop together with Victoria Bookshop and the Sheep Shop Haverfordwest.

The club will also be selling the calendar at their Family Fun Harbour Spectaculars on Sundays the July 27 and August 10, and they are available to buy on eBay direct from the club with free p&p.

Said Nigel: “The club have received excellent feedback from everyone and are thrilled with everyone’s response. We are already thinking about next year, as anyone who has a photo of Tenby that could be used in 2016’s calendar are asked to e-mail them to the club at tenbyrotaryclub@gmail.com. Your picture could feature next year!”

The club are also extremely grateful to Ian and Beverley of Pembrokeshire Photography and Sky-Cam Wales who allowed the club to use their stunning aerial photo of Tenby for the calendar’s cover and to the twelve businesses who sponsored the calendar, Trefalun Park Holiday Park, Cofion Books, Dragon Double Glazing, Aero Beach, Kiln Park Holiday Park, Caldey Island Estate, Happy Hooker Sea Fishing Charters, Nigel Ayers Electrical Contractors, Penally Taxis and the New Overlander Restaurant Penally, T P Hughes, The Qube Restaurant, Qube Catering, Tenby Hog Roast and Tom Cullen & Associates.
