Emergency services raced to Fishguard’s Main Street on Saturday, where a car had collided with a building just minutes before the town’s carnival procession was due to pass nearby.

The black Peugeuot Partner came into collision with the corner of Three Main Street restaurant shortly after 12pm.

Police, paramedics and a fire engine were all deployed to the incident.

A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at about 12.40pm on Saturday 27th August to reports that a car had hit a wall on Main Street, Fishguard.

“Two emergency ambulances attended and one patient was treated at the scene for minor injuries.”
