Crowds enjoyed the showers in Tenby on Wednesday as the town's retained firemen's carnival lived up to its wet and wild reputation.
Hosepipes, water-bombs, spray guns and just plain buckets of the stuff gave a welcome soaking in the glorious sunshine to any participants and crowd members who asked for it - and a few who didn't!
Tenby's mayor, Councillor John Griffiths, stayed dry inside a fire engine as the procession made its way through the town to the harbour, where he presented the prizes.
The parade was led by the Swansea East Carnival Display Band, ahead of the pretty floats carrying carnival princess Menna Edwards and carnival queen Georgia Turner, and their attendants.
The carnival's main sponsors were Tenby House Hotel and Tredeml Print Design, and the main recipient of the day's proceeds will be the Firemen's Benevolent Fund.
Results: Floats - Best charity float: Think Green, Recycle (Tenby Ladies Circle). Best decorated float: Peter Pan and The Jolly Roger. Fancy dress - Under-three: Spongebob Squarepants. Under-seven: Spongebob Squarepants. Under-11: Bring me sunshine. Adult: Grannies from Hell.
